The best national jazz returns, from 2 to 7 July, to Odemira, in the 15th edition of the TassJazz Festival, which promotes «quality nights, improvisation and party».
This is a bet of the Municipality of Odemira to diversify and qualify the cultural offer of the region, which has conquered the public since the first edition. To complete the program of shows, this year will be promoted workshops of strings and woodwinds. The shows will take place at Quintal da Música and at Cerro do Peguinho, always with free entrances.
The first shows will take place at Quintal da Música, with the presentation of string and wind workshops on July 4th, at 18 pm, and concerts by Associação Jazz e Não Só, on the nights of 00 and 4, at 5 pm.
On Friday night, July 6th, at 21 pm, jazz will go up to Peguinho hill, with the performance of Arsénio Martins & Aroma Jazz Trio, followed by the ELAS and JAZZ! trio, at 30:23 pm. On Saturday, July 00th, at 7:21 pm, attention will be directed to the performance of the Mano a Mano project, ending with a presentation by Isabel Rato Quinteto, at 30:23 pm.
The plastic artist Philippe Peseux will perform a live painting during the shows at Cerro do Peguinho.
This year's edition challenges you to participate in two workshops: on the 2nd and 3rd of July there will be a string workshop at Quintal da Música, and on the 3rd and 4th a wind workshop will be held at the Casa do Povo, both in the hours 18:00/20:00 and 21:00/23:00.
