The methodology for reviewing the Municipal Master Plan (PDM) of Tavira will be presented in a public session, on the 3rd of July, at 18:00, at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library. This action "aims to make known the procedural framework of the PDM, its progress and the respective situation", explains the Câmara de Tavira.

According to the autarchy, “the new generation of PDM values greater coordination between the various levels of governance and promotes the strengthening of intersectoral cooperation, as well as the participation of citizens in the decision-making process”.

In this context, «the review process is open to the participation of citizens and other interested parties in order to facilitate and enhance communication between citizens and the city council».

The elaboration of the revision of the Tavira PDM comprises the accomplishment of a set of tasks that are grouped into four major phases. The first phase includes the production of elements that cover the territorial diagnosis and lead to the construction/consolidation of the territorial model. The second phase concerns the preparation of the plan proposal, with all its material and documental content. The third phase consists of preparing the final version of the plan and submitting it for public discussion. The fourth phase consists of producing the final version of the plan, incorporating any changes arising from public discussion. At this stage, the plan's review process will be completed, with approval by the Municipal Assembly.

At the moment, the second phase of the procedure is underway, and the municipality considers its public presentation “timely”.
