The Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra will perform this Sunday, June 17, at 20:00, on the river beach of Monsaraz, in a concert entitled “Celebração da Água”. The orchestra was founded two years ago and is directed by conductor Osvaldo Ferreira.

The program of this concert at sunset includes the compositions “La Mer” by Claude Debussy, “007” by Monty Norman, “Adagio” by Samuel Barber, “Pirates of the Caribbean” by Klaus Badelt, “Highlights” by John Williams and “ Bolero” by Ravel.

The orchestra includes artists awarded in national and international competitions, former members of the European Union Youth Orchestra and other international youth orchestras, as well as foreign musicians residing in Portugal.

The Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra produces symphonic concerts, opera and connections with other artistic genres in order to develop creative events and performances.

Its activity is based on solid values ​​and human principles and intends to be a learning vehicle that has an impact on all social and cultural sectors of society, bringing different age groups together and developing talents.
