The 5th edition of Noite Black & White, in Carvoeiro, is almost here. The village in the municipality of Lagoa will go back to dressing in black and white on Saturday, June 16, between 20:30 pm and 03:00 am and the beach and streets in the center will fill up to host what is the first festival of the Summer 2018 in the Algarve.

This year, the organization is expecting around 30 visitors "in an event marked by music, dance and street entertainment," said Câmara de Lagoa.

Carvoeiro Noite Black & White will take place in nine different scenarios and will start at 20:30 pm with electronic music by the duo Black and White Living Statues Djs. Fado singer Teresa Viola and harpist Helena Madeira will make the transition from day to night with fado and classical music, respectively.

Between 21:10 pm and 23:20 pm, the Versátil Band will make the audience dance to the sound of emblematic covers from the last decades and, from 22:00 pm, the 70's, 80's and 90's Retro Hits will be protagonists in the Estrada do Farol, with DJ Beecuts.

At 21:50 pm, in the Amphitheater setting, The Bottles project will «transport the public to the crazy 60s, with hits that marked a whole generation. At the same time, he will take the stage at Estrada do Farothe singer Diana Silveira, who will provide the public with a repertoire of iconic rock classics», adds the Lagoon local authority.

The stage at Largo da Praia will receive, at 22:50 pm, the Six Irish Men, a group based on the reinvention of traditional Irish festive themes and, at midnight, on the sandy beach, there will be a synchronized fireworks show with epic music.

From then on until 3:00 am, «Carvoeiro Beach will become a mega dance floor with the Best Summer Hits 2014 – 2018, the best summer songs edited during the five years of Carvoeiro Noite Black & White, by Dj Alexandre Ramos».

According to Câmara de Lagoa, this «tourist animation project that emerged in 2014, with the aim of strengthening the municipality's hotel occupation, quickly exceeded expectations, asserting itself today as one of the biggest events in the region».

As in the last two editions, and to make up for the parking shortage, the Municipality will maintain the regular line of free buses that will connect Carvoeiro and the various car parks planned in Lagoa: Fatacil, Intermarché, Apolónia, Aldi and Gramital ( land located in front of Aldi). The bus line will run, without interruption, between 18:00 pm and 4:00 am (return).
