The first chords of the Chamber Music cycle will sound in the municipality of Silves, in São Marcos da Serra, on the 7th, Thursday, to start the programming of the Orquestra Clássica do Sul for the month of June.
On Friday, the 8th, the cycle “Lethes Classico” returns, with a concert dedicated to the “Great Romantic Composers”.
A Church of São Marcos da Serra welcomes you next Thursday, June 7th, at 19 pm, an intimate concert featuring works by Mozart, Bach and Telemann.
The Chamber Music cycle will also pass through the Church of Santo António de Lagos, on the 9th, at 19 pm, with the same repertoire and chamber grouping, this one composed by Luis Miguel Garcia and Stefania Bernardi on flute, Paloma Espinosa on violin, Ivetta Natzkaya on viola and Vasile Stanescu on cello. In both concerts, admission is free.
On the 8th, Friday, a group of musicians from the Orquestra Clássica do Sul will perform on stage at Teatro Lethes for another moment of the “Lethes Classic” cycle. The concert starts at 21 pm and the program includes works by Schubert and Schumann.
With the aim of making new talents known in the world of music, the Orchestra presents the “Cycle of Laureates” on Friday, 15th, at the Great Auditorium of the Campus de Gambelas, at 21:30 pm.
Conducted by Maestro José Eduardo Gomes, the Orchestra will accompany the soloist André Gunko (cello), winner of the contest “Summer Classic – 2017 Edition”, in what will be the Closing Concert of the 2017/2018 Academic Year. Admission is free.
To welcome the new season, on June 21st, classical music rises to the top of the Hotel Eva, in Faro, for the “Summer Solstice” concert.
«The proposal is for a relaxing evening with a privileged view over the Ria Formosa, enhanced by a concert of chamber music and a wine tasting», explains the Orchestra. Reservations must be made by calling 289 001 003.
The Revelim de Santo António, in Castro Marim, will receive the Orquestra Clássica do Sul on Saturday, 22nd, for a concert of the “Música e Natureza” cycle, at 21 pm. Works by Rossini, Mascagni, Strauss or Dvorák are part of the program, which will be conducted by Maestro José Eduardo Gomes. Admission is free.
The month ends with two concerts from the cycle “Sinfonias Clássicas”, taking place at the Municipal Auditorium of Albufeira, on Thursday, June 28th, and on Saturday, on the 30th, at the Cathedral of Silves, both starting at 21 pm .
Orchestral direction is under the responsibility of Maestro Rui Pinheiro and the program includes works by Mozart, Haydn and Luís Soldado.
