The Cacela Monthly Market will be held atthe area surrounding Largo Manuel Cabanas, bringing together all the stalls and vendors in the center of the village.
The measure intends to revitalize the market, by concentrating the sale of products and goods in a single place, thus contributing to an increase in the influx of visitors and benefiting local businesses in the parish of Vila Nova de Cacela.
The decision also takes into account the requests of marketers, vendors, residents, local merchants and security entities and allows for better streamlining of services.
The land where part of the market was currently located, in the Bornacha area, next to the EN125, will be used exclusively for parking both for marketers and vendors, and for visitors.
According to Luís Romão, deputy mayor of Vila Real de Santo António, "the measure aims to establish equal sales conditions for all operators" and takes into account the fact that "there is much more influx of visitors to the area B, that is, the area surrounding Largo Manuel Cabanas».
The relocation of the Cacela Monthly Market will take effect immediately and will be put into practice as early as next Sunday, the 17th of June.
