The Popular Marches of Lagos take place on the 13th and 14th of June and the promise is “of two days that you will not forget”.
From 19:30 to 00:00, Praça do Infante will be dressed to the Popular Marches, with taverns, color, lots of musical entertainment and the traditional parades.
A lot of entertainment is planned for these two days, which, in addition to the essential music and dance, will also include the recreation of an arraial and party environment, with a tavern space, dedicated to traditional snacks, sweets and sale of basil, and so on. The long awaited Parade of Popular Marches, which will be exhibited, individually, in an area prepared for the purpose and which will culminate with the musical presentation of the Marcha Popular Lagos.
This year, nine marches are registered: March of the Culture and Sport Center of the Workers of the City Council of Lagos; March of the Lacobrigense Artistic Club; March of the Parish of Light; March of Clube ABC Os Espichenses; March of the Duna Community Center – Meia- Praia; March of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lagos – Lar Rainha D. Leonor; March of Odiáxere; March of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lagos – Lar Filipe Fialho; March of the Parishes of Sagres and Vila do Bispo.
The marches will parade over the two days, starting at 21:30 pm. Earlier, at 19:30 pm, the venue immediately offers entertainment with balls (Emanuel Martins, on the 13th, and Rui Soares & Lau, on the 14th).
Following this event, there will be traffic restriction at Praça Infante D. Henrique between 19:00 pm and 01:00 am (guaranteeing access to priority vehicles, as well as to the Hospital).
