Two men, aged 65 and 74, were arrested yesterday for committing the crime of forest fire, at the Franqueira site, in Silves.
The GNR patrol from the Silves Territorial Post went to the scene because there was a fire going on, and based on local testimonies, ended up following the suspects, managing to identify them.
The two men were arrested and, by order of the Prosecutor of the Court of Silves, remain in the Guard's premises, until they are present at the Court of Shift, in Silves.
