The public hearing of subscribers from the petition “For dignity and safety on the EN125 – immediate rehabilitation works in the section between Olhão nascente and Vila Real de Santo António” will take place on the 4th of June, at 19 pm, at the António Aleixo Cultural Center, in Vila Real de Santo António.
This petition delivered to the Assembly of the Republic by the Citizenship Movement Users of EN-125 – Sotavento was signed by 7133 people.
According to the PSD deputy Cristóvão Norte, who is the petitioner's rapporteur, “as the hearing of petitioners is mandatory in the case of petitions with more than 1000 signatures, I decided that this should take place in Vila Real de Santo António, seeking, in this way, that it be the Assembly of the Republic to meet the citizens, in proximity and allowing them to follow the process, in a matter that arouses a lot of interest».
According to the deputy, a hearing outside the Assembly of the Republic "has never taken place in the Algarve and almost never in the country".
In addition to the petitioners, the mayors of Vila Real de Santo António and Castro Marim, as well as deputies from various parliamentary groups, will be present at this hearing.
The hearing is open to all citizens.
