The photographic exhibition on prehistoric art in Portugal “In Nomine Hominis… Pro Memoria Artis”, by Dinis Cortes, will be on display between the 3rd and 15th of June at the Interpretation Center of Vila do Bispo.

The inauguration of the exhibition, scheduled for the 3rd, at 17 pm, will be attended by Dinis Cortes.

«Assuming a national scale, the exhibition includes several works relating to the Algarve region, with particular emphasis on the territory of the current municipality of Vila do Bispo, exploring the exceptional local theme “Megalitism and menhirs from Prehistory”. The visual proposals are complemented by an archaeological expository narrative with a chronocultural framework», according to Vila do Bispo Chamber.

Before the inauguration, a lecture will be presented on the theme “Prehistoric Art in Portugal and the case of Vila do Bispo” by Manuel Calado (pre-historian and proto-historian archaeologist).
