Vila Nova de Milfontes hosts, from the 8th to the 10th of June, the FEI~TUR – Sport and Nature Tourism, the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Odemira and the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo.

The objective is to promote and affirm Alentejo, and Odemira in particular, as a privileged destination for Sport and Nature Tourism. The event takes place at the mouth of the river Mira, at Praia da Franquia, with free admission.

FEI~TUR is committed to «strengthening the promotion of the most emblematic tourist products in the municipality of Odemira and the territory, highlighting activities in nature, such as boat trips on the river and in the sea, canoeing, hiking, diving or Stand up paddle», highlights the Chamber of this municipality on the Alentejo coast.

Thus, over the three days of the event, there will be activities to try, paid, but with special prices: Stand Up Paddle, Donkey and Pony Rides, Country Galloping, Boat and River Crossing to Praia das Furnas, Inflatables and trampolines, rent of canoes, kayaks and unmanned boats, surfski, kayak tours, tourist train rides.

The event includes presentations by accommodation units and tourist entertainment companies, an exhibition of agri-food products and an exhibition of local handicrafts, in addition to an intense sports program, street entertainment and children's entertainment.

In the gastronomic field, the local products deserve to be highlighted, both in tastings and showcookings, as in the present restoration.

Note for the holding of the colloquium on the theme “The tourist attraction of the Southwest”, at 14:30 pm on Friday, the 8th, at Colégio Nossa Senhora da Graça.

From the show program, the highlights are the performances of Frankie Chavez (Friday, June 8th) and Linda Martini (Saturday, June 9th).
