The 3rd edition of the Adapted Nautical Sports event takes place this Wednesday, May 9th, from 10:00 am to 16:00 pm, at the Centro Náutico da Praia de Faro.
This sporting event, whose main objective is to promote the practice of water sports among people with special needs and encourage contact with nature, will include sports such as sailing, canoeing, SUP, surfing and bodyboarding.
This 3rd edition will also feature a musical moment, which will be in charge of the musicians João Caiano and Miguel Guerreiro. The institutions that have embraced the challenge of participating at this time are Associação EXISTIR, APATRIS 21, Centro de Medicina e Rehabilitation (CMR) do Sul, Association for the Support of Exceptional Persons in the Algarve (APEXA), APPC, Lar S. Vicente , making a total of 100 participants.
In addition to the Sports course, the event is organized by the Nautical Center of Praia de Faro of the City Council of Faro and by the Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the South of the University Hospital Center of the Algarve.
This initiative has as partners the Ginásio Clube Naval de Faro, the Surf Club of Faro, AMAR, Lago WaterSports Center, Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School – TSSMA, Formosamar, Decathlon, Vela Solidária, SUP Albufeira, Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, União das Freguesias de Faro, Montenegro Parish Council, Sushi Pearl, Continente de Loulé, Loulé Doce and Alô Pizza.
