The Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, conducted by the German conductor Ernst Schelle and accompanied by the violinist Vladimir Tolpygo, will star in “the majestic concert “Mendelssohn!”, tomorrow, Friday, May 11, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano .

The Beira orchestra is one of the special guests of the 2018 edition of FIMA – Algarve International Music Festival.

In the show to be held in Loulé, the musical formation will interpret a musical program such as Mendelssohn's «brilliant and virtuosic» “Concert for Violin and Orchestra”, as well as «two well-known masterpieces to the public, which were inspired by the journey that the German composer performed in Scotland – “As Grutas de Fingal” and “Symphony nº 3, Scottish”», according to the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, which organizes FIMA.

The Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras «has more than two decades of activity and has dedicated its work to the dissemination of classical music in the center of the country».

In tomorrow's concert, it will be directed by Ernst Schelle, conductor who was musical director of the International Academy of Portarlier (France), who took the place of principal conductor of the Poitou-Charentes Orchestra and is currently Conductor and Guest Artistic Director of the APROARTE Orchestra – Association National Professional Education of Music and Arts.

The guest soloist, violinist Vladimir Tolpygo, was born in Moscow and «began his musical studies at the age of 4 years. He has worked with renowned international orchestras such as the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Radio Orchestra. Since 2016, he has been a violinist at the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra».
