They came from 22 different countries to give a show. The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, which ended this Sunday, May 13, brought together the best athletes in the sport, at Portimão Arena. 

With the elite of the sport gathered, there was, even so, a prominent figure: Mariia Sergeeva, from Russia, who on the last day of competition, won three gold medals in the finals for the Bow (18,750), Maces (17,900) and Ribbon (17,700) finals.

Sergeeva only lost to Israel in the final by apparatus in Bola. Israeli Nicol Zelikman took home the gold medal, with a score of 18,150, and Polina Khonina, from Russia, with 17,900 was a silver medal.

The competition between Russia and Israel was fierce from the first day of qualifying and, in the finals, it could not be otherwise, with an advantage for Russia.

At the World Cup preview press conference, Isilda Gomes, president of the Portimão Chamber, he had said: «We want audience! We want people to watch!».
