Flávio Pacheco (Sporting/Tavira-Paracycling) beat the competition in the H4 class, in the second round of the Portugal Games Santa Casa Paracycling Cup, which took place this Sunday morning, in Viana do Castelo.

As in the inaugural event of the 2018 edition of the Portuguese Cup, in Odemira, 18 paracyclists presented themselves at the start, spread over eight classes of competition.

Classes C2, C4, C5 and H4 were the most participated. In all of them, the runners who had already triumphed at the start of the Games Santa Casa Cup in Portugal, in Odemira, won.

Telmo Pinão (Casa do Benfica MMV/APCA/Paracycling) won in C2, the winner in C4 was João Monteiro (Mozinho RT Martos Pellets), Manuel Ferreira (Silva & Vinha/ADRAP/Sentir Penafiel) won in C5 and João Pinto also reinforced the supremacy in H3, repeating in Viana the success of Odemira.

In the remaining categories, there were races alone, with only one participant: João Marques (ACD Milharado/EC Manuel Martins) in class D, Bernardo Vieira in C1 and Luís Costa (Sporting/Tavira – Paracycling) in H5.

The Viana do Castelo event affirmed the sport as a celebration of social inclusion, combining the competitive spirit with the joy of participation.

The third competition of the Portuguese Games Santa Casa Paracycling Cup will be part of the program of the first stage of the Grand Prix Abimota, taking place in Lisbon, on the 13th of June.
