Farense beat Vilafranquense by 3-0, in the 1st leg match of the semifinals of the play-off to climb to the II Football League, played this Saturday, May 19, at the Estádio de São Luís, in Faro. The Algarve team is getting closer and closer to moving up the division. 

The first goal of the match was scored by André Vieira, in the 18th minute. A shot inside the Portuguese midfielder's area only ended in the back of the net.

A very well composed S. Luís, with thousands of supporters in the stands, had to wait for the second half to scream a goal again. It was on 51 minutes that Farense forward Irobiso headed it 2-0 for the Algarve.

And if the result already looked good for the aspirations of the team Faro, it was better after 75 minutes. After a lost ball in midfield, André Vieira shot placed and scored an encore in the match.

With this result, Farense took a very important step to return to the II League and the professional championships. The second leg of this semi-final will be played next Sunday, May 27, at 17:00, at Vilafranquense, but the team of Faro part with a three-goal lead in Saturday's game.

If they pass this tie, Farense will soon be promoted to relegation.
