The 125 children attending the 1st year at the Pontal School Center, in Portimão, participated, on May 17, in the Outdoor Classroom Day, world initiative that you want to celebrate learning and playing outdoors.
This initiative promotes a greater connection with nature, along with the development of fundamental skills for life, such as resilience, teamwork and creativity.
The day's activities, which took place in the Ria de Alvor, were fully prepared by the students of the professional course in Tourism Animation, under the supervision of teachers Ana Batista and Sónia Vieira, with the support of students from the Multimedia, Sport and Sport Management courses at Secondary School Poet António Aleixo.
The challenge, "clearly overcome", according to the organization, consisted of stimulating activities that would allow the realization of the learning foreseen in the 1st year curriculum, within the scope of the Curriculum Flexibility project that this year is being implemented in the Poeta António Aleixo Group, for the first time .
During the morning, the large group was in the Ria de Alvor, accompanied by teachers Glória Eduardo, Vera Cardoso, Maria Antónia Cardoso, Marta Gonçalves and Sónia Eugénio, taking advantage of the low tide and the mild temperature that was felt.
In the afternoon, after a super break at school, there was still time to use artistic expressions, in order to record the best memories of the day.
