António Zambujo on stage, with writer Jacinto Lucas Pires, for a fusion between Literature and Music, is the highlight of the first day of Fusos – Festival of Artistic Fusions, which takes place in the village of Alte, in the interior of the municipality of Loulé, between 1 and 3 June.

Fusions between Music and Literature, between Painting and Dance and between Music and Painting, with the presentation of innovative projects and intentional creations for this concept, fill an eclectic poster in the various artistic approaches that extends to the seven stages spread across the village (Fonte Grande , Fonte Pequena, Museological Center, Casa do Povo, Horta das Artes, Professional School and Queda do Vigário).

In between, you will travel a surreal itinerary behind the Andarilho de Alte, a sound sculpture that runs between stages and where everyone can play on the various instruments incorporated.

The first day, June 1st, being Children's Day, begins to think about the youngest, with the premiere of the film “Tomorrow was yesterday”, a documentary that counts on the participation of elementary school children from Alte.

This is followed by science activities with the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve, the inauguration of the Perspectivas de Alte exhibition, with representatives from 5 continents showing their visions of Alte.

The night begins with the juggling/new circus by The Gentlemad and continues with a concert that brings together, on stage, the music of António Zambujo, with the literature of Jacinto Lucas Pires. The first day ends with the sound of DJ António Pires.

Kumpania Shout

On the second day, June 2, there is a theater with the ironic and hilarious play O Lobo Vermelho, a satire on the imagination surrounding the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

This is followed by Telamine, a performance in which the artist Menau paints a picture with a brush emitting sound, accompanied by instruments by Paulo Machado.

Maestro d'Água is a concert with several musicians inside Fonte Pequena, while Fado Liquid combines José Alegre's Portuguese guitar with the sound of the surrounding water.

At night, Wings of Dreams is a fantastic visual illusion of dance combined with painting, with Alice Duarte inside a giant canvas, followed by the unstoppable party of the Kumpania Algazarra. Everything closes with Discosauro's vinyl records.

On Sunday, June 3, there is the release of the Migna Mala album, with the screening of the film from the album, and lots of dancing, first with the workshop of the Grupo de Danças Tradicional da Juventude Altense, in Alte, and Segue o Baile, later with the traditional European dances of Pelivento.

A close these three days of festival there Fusada, on a route to the Vigário Waterfall, which welcomes Luís Peixoto, with its electronic folk.

Fusos takes place every day from 14:30 pm, and all events are free.

Fusos is a Fungo Azul organization, with the support of the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Council of Alte.

See how Fusos was last year…and get inspired for this year!
