The interior and exterior of Portimão Arena are, for three days and until this Saturday, 26th of May, transformed into a true showcase of the most modern in terms of security and civil protection in Portugal, as can be seen in the video here we publish, with images collected on Thursday, the first day of the event, with the right to visit the Minister of Internal Affairs.
Even the armored vehicle that PSP bought at the time of the NATO Summit in 2010, and which is in charge of the Special Police Unit (UEP), can be seen on the premises of the AlgarSafe – International Civil Protection and Relief Fair.
But there are many other innovations there, such as the new vehicle of the Team for Reconnaissance and Assessment of the Situation of the Fire Brigade of Portimão, which is equipped with sophisticated means, including a drone, or even the PSP's small plane and the mega surveillance drone .
Anyone who wants to, can also peek inside the fire fighting vehicles of various fire departments, or ambulances for various purposes, as well as examine in detail the most varied equipment for safety and protection purposes.
Outside, there are demonstrations linked to the fire and security forces, as well as an exhibition of the means of the Portuguese Red Cross, the National Civil Protection Authority, the Navy and Maritime Authority, PSP, GNR and firefighters. Everything can be seen and visited.
This Saturday, May 26, the last day of the event, AlgarSafe opened at 9:00 am and closed at 18:00 pm, with lots of activities for everyone.
