The Government provides one million euros to financially support the construction and modernization of the Official Collection Centers (CRO) for pet animals, with the aim of creating, in the country, a network of centers and the modernization of municipal veterinary services.

According to the order published yesterday, municipalities, groups of municipalities (through a joint application), associations of special-purpose municipalities and inter-municipal entities can submit applications for the granting of these financial incentives.

These non-reimbursable support financed by the State Budget, has as maximum limits, per project, 50 thousand euros for the construction of municipal CROs and 100 thousand euros for the construction of inter-municipal CROs.

Regarding the modernization, the order foresees a maximum support, per project, of 15 thousand euros for the municipal CROs and 30 thousand euros for the inter-municipal CROs.

Applications can be submitted to the respective Regional Coordination and Development Committees.
