Fernando Rocha was re-elected this Thursday as president of the Portimonense Clube do Portimonense, obtaining 67% of the votes, against 33% of the list headed by João Gambôa.

To what Sul Informação found that, in all, 480 members of Portimonense voted in these elections, which took place throughout the day, with different seniority and “weight” and therefore with different number of votes.

Thus, there were 1920 votes in the List A, headed by Fernando Rocha, who was already president, while the List B, by João Gambôa, who was a member of the previous governing bodies as vice-president, obtained 1035 votes. There were also 4 null and 3 blank votes.

The winning list, which had the motto “Por ti, Portimonense”, elected two former presidents (Manuel João and Manuel Mangas) for the General Council of the Club, as well as other well-known personalities from the city of Portimºao, such as Carlos Martins, José Casimiro, Eduardo Catarino, António Vitorino, Joaquim Coelho, Ivo Rocha and Francisco Santos.

The direction, which continues to be chaired by businessman Fernando Rocha, also includes António Silveira, Manuel Lopes, Tomé Mangas, João Mergulhão, João Veiga, Arsénio Sequeira and Hélder Correia. The General Assembly continues to be chaired by João Tavares, while the Supervisory Board, chaired by José Bicheiro, includes names such as José Pedro Caçorino and Carlos Gouveia Martins, among others.

During the campaign, Fernando Rocha stated that he was re-applying to «continue the work carried out».
