“Dois Filipes, Dois Pianos” will be on stage at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, on April 30th, at 21 pm, to celebrate the International Jazz Day. This "acclaimed show" with Filipe Raposo and Filipe Melo will, on this day, have its debut in the south of the country.

«Two composers and pianists from the same generation, united by a common characteristic: an eclectic musical vision, without barriers or prejudices. Their careers are as versatile as they are chameleon. Over the years, they have been requested for numerous projects and collaborations, from jazz to classical music, from fado to pop-rock. It was in the richness of stylistic diversity that they built their language and the freedom that reigns in the music they make», says Câmara de Loulé about this show.

Filipe Raposo is a pianist, composer and orchestrator. He began his studies at the National Conservatory of Lisbon, passing by the Royal College and the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm. He participated as a performer in concerts and records with great names in Portuguese music and as an orchestrator and pianist he collaborates with the great European orchestras. It has three edited discs. He is currently curator for the Jazz area for Lugre Records, resident pianist at Cinemateca Portuguesa and professor.

Filipe Melo started out as a self-taught musician, later he studied at the Hotclube de Portugal, in Lisbon, and at the Berklee College of Music, in Boston. He is, above all, connected to jazz and has worked with musicians from all over the world, great performers, composers, orchestras, conductors. He is a composer, pianist and arranger. He is also a film director, comic book writer and professor at
ESML
