The Center for Medicine and Rehabilitation of the South (CMRSul), in São Brás de Alportel, will open 17 inpatient beds that were previously disabled and will hire 11 nurses.

CMRSul will thus move its capacity from the current 19 to 36 beds.

The Algarve University Hospital Center (CHUA) will start today, April 6, the 11th anniversary of the South Medical and Rehabilitation Center (CMRSul), the first phase of the reestablishment of CMRSul's assistance activity with the admission and integration of 11 new nurses.

As for the opening of beds, it is guaranteed to happen until «the second half of May».

According to CHUA, 'the first phase of the commitment assumed with the tutelage, with the Regional Health Administration (ARS) Algarve and with users, by the end of 2018, to re-establish the total installed capacity of CMRSul, which will culminate with the reactivation of the 50 inpatient beds of this health unit».

In parallel, and in order to guarantee the autonomy of the management of CMRSul, the University Hospital Center of the Algarve says it is «working with commitment to the creation of an Integrated Responsibility Center (CRI) for CMRSul».
