The duo Carlos Fernandes/Valter Cardoso (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VI) won the Vila do Bispo Rally, the first race of the 2018 Southern Rally Championship, which ended this Sunday.
The podium was completed with Fernando Peres, in 2nd, who tried unsuccessfully to maintain the lead obtained on Saturday, and Carlos Martins ((Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X), in 3rd place. Carlos Fernandes concluded the race with a slim advantage of 10,5 .XNUMX seconds over your most direct opponent.
The Southern regional champion in title, Márcio Marreiros, reached the 4th place.
On the two drive wheels, the fastest were João Filipe Monteiro/Gonçalo Assunção.

In the race, organized by the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, more than three dozen drivers took part. Despite the rain, there were hundreds of fans following the competition, on the roads in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, as can be seen in the photos.
The next race of the South Championship is the Loulé Rally, scheduled for the 2nd and 3rd of June.
