In Aljezur, the dedication to study will once again be compensated with a prize of 500 euros. 14 students from the municipality, those who obtain the best grades in their year of schooling, in the current academic year, will be awarded with School Merit Awards from the municipality on 29 August.
The distinction will be awarded to students from the 4th to 9th grade of the Aljezur Schools Group.
For the Municipality of Aljezur, in addition to recognizing the merit of the best students, these awards serve to encourage them “to invest in their qualification” and are the municipality's contribution “to maintain the levels of educational success in the municipality”.
The municipality also highlighted the commitment of the council's school grouping, which has been an «active partner» of this initiative, since its launch in the 2004/05 school year, giving «an important contribution to its implementation and improvement».
