The MED Festival, in Loulé, was once again considered the Best Medium Dimension Festival in the Iberian Peninsula, in another edition of the Iberian Festival Awards, whose winners were announced this Thursday, in Lisbon. “The BPM Festival”, which had its 1st edition in the summer, in Portimão and Lagoa, was considered the Best New Festival in Portugal and Spain.
The event that the historic center of Loulé has hosted for over ten years was once again chosen by the jury as the best medium-sized one, similarly to what had already happened in 2017. The Loulé festival also received the award for Best Tourism Promotion, the National level.
Also considered the best in the Iberian Peninsula, in this case in the Best Cultural Program category, was the World Music Festival of Sines.
Festival F was also distinguished, taking into account that it was the event where Miguel Araújo gave the concert that earned him the award for Best Portuguese and/or Spanish Performance, at national level.
The awards ceremony for the 3rd edition of the Iberian Festival Awards took place at Forum Lisboa, as part of the 2018 edition of Talkfest.
