The final of the Algarve Cup for women's football, which was supposed to pit the teams of Sweden and the Netherlands, was postponed this Wednesday due to the wind and heavy rain, which soaked the lawn of the Municipal Stadium of Bela Vista, in Parchal (Lagoa) .

Russian referee Anastasia Pustovoitova and representatives of the Swedish and Dutch teams analyzed the pitch and concluded that there were no conditions for the game to be played, as the ground was flooded and the ball was not rolling.

The wind also caused some problems, knocking down structures in the stadium, as can be seen in one of the photographs that the Sul Informação here publishes.

The match should have started at 18:30 pm today. It is now awaiting the definition of a new date for the final and, eventually, a new location, in case the pitch at Bela Vista remains impractical.
