Neither the wind nor the rain keep the lovers of good things away from Monchique, especially this weekend at the Sausages Fair. Rice sauce, farinheira, chorizo, black pudding, ham, cracklings, white or colored lard are some of the delicacies made from black pork, using traditional methods, in the Serra de Monchique.

Until tomorrow, Sunday, the 4th, in the enclosure set up on the village's helipad, sheltered from the rain, there is still medronho brandy, honeydew and liqueurs, honey, traditional sweets, such as pancake cake, jams, aromatic herbs, handicrafts, lots of gastronomy with the products of the mountain, waiting for the visitors.

In addition to all the delights, there is a lot of entertainment at the event. This Saturday night, at 21 pm, there is humorous fado, in a concert with “Rouxinol Faduncho”, a character created by actor and humorist Marco Horácio.

Who also promises to make people laugh is Miguel Costa, who presents a show of Stand-up comedy, this Saturday at 18:00.

Tomorrow, Sunday, there will be one of the strong points of this edition, the program “Somos Portugal” by TVI, which will take place in the fairgrounds, from 12:30 pm to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 20:00 pm.

The Sausages Fair is open today until 23:00 pm, and tomorrow, the 4th, from 10:00 am to 21:00 pm, always with free entry.
