The construction of the new GNR Territorial Post and Sub-Deployment of Coastal Control, in Aljezur, should start this year. In response to a question from Paulo Sá, PCP deputy, the Ministry of Administration also said that the works will be completed in 2019.

The Ministry of Internal Administration's office recalls that “an investment of 1,5 million euros in the construction of new facilities for the Territorial Post and Control Sub-Deployment was contemplated in the Law for the Programming of Facilities and Equipment for the Security Forces and Services Coast of the GNR in Aljezur” and that “the implementation project is concluded and the procedures for contracting the contract are in progress”.

The PCP also questioned the Government about the patrol cars and unmarked vehicles of the Territorial Post of Aljezur that are at the "end of life" and "frequently inoperable".

In this case, the Ministry of Internal Administration says that “at the end of last year, through eSPap – Entity of Shared Services of Public Administration, a public tender for the acquisition of 1869 vehicles for the security forces and services”.

This measure, according to the minister's office, “is the largest centralized contracting procedure for vehicles since the
centralization of the State Vehicle Park was implemented in 2008” and “involves an investment of around 50 million euros (VAT included)”.

The Government foresees the delivery of the vehicles between 2018 and 2021, and “the territorial distribution will be decided by the respective security forces.
