The Sociedade Recreativa Artística Farense (SRAF), known as “Os Artistas”, will dedicate Friday and Saturday nights, March 2nd and 3rd, to the drunk, also opening the door to other sounds, such as the funk: reggae, the R&B and the hip hop.

According to the SRAF directors, the first edition of Soul Fest will have «two nights of the purest African-American genius», provided by four DJs, including Mónica Mendes and Pedro Tenreiro, «the best storytellers in soul history in the country".

On Friday, March 2, Mónica Mendes will perform, who «has worked at Antena 3 for 21 years, which has made her one of the most beloved voices and personalities of Portuguese radio». «Bold and confident, but cautious on the way, Mónica Mendes guides us in the blue dream of soul, funk and R&B music», according to the organizers of the event. On the same day, DJ Taxamanito, resident of “Os Artistas” will perform.

On Saturday, Pedro Tenreiro, DJ and responsible for the Poder Soul section at Antena 3, will take over the operations. «He is an extreme student of the past, and his program makes us travel through the voices, the clapping of our hands, the sweat and all the looks of the black soul. He is a well-deserved heir of African-American music», describes the SRAF.

On this night, the public can also count on the performance of DJ Pedro Mesquita, who is also a resident of the house.
