96 social housing houses from Faro will have waterproof coverage

The waterproofing works on the roof of 96 social housing houses, on Rua Monsenhor Henrique Ferreira da Silva, in Faro, will move forward. 

The contract for this undertaking was signed this Friday, March 2nd.

The intervention "will allow not only the improvement of the external appearance of the buildings, which showed some signs of degradation, as well as the living conditions of the inhabitants, who saw their houses affected mainly by rainwater infiltration through the roofs", says the camera of Faro.

This contract was awarded to Sociedade AM Barriga- Engenharia e Construção, Lda., for around 58 thousand euros, plus VAT at the legal rate in force. The works are expected to have a deadline of 60 days.

The work follows on from the contract to recover the facades of these housing blocks, an intervention that was completed at the end of 2017 and in which the Municipality has invested around 90 thousand euros.
