The 1st edition of “Trovas e Serenatas na Fonte dos Amores” takes place this Saturday, February 24, from 15:30 pm, at Fonte Nova, in the heart of the Historic Center of São Brás de Alportel.
This is the initiative that ends the “Romantic Month” program in São Brás de Alportel and where the winning love letters of the 2018 edition of the “The Most Beautiful Love Letter” contest that the Estanco Louro Municipal Library promotes every year will be presented .
The event also features moments of poetry, short stories and lots of music, with the performance of Tuna Académica “Versus Tuna”, Choir of the Senior University of São Brás de Alportel and Duo Margô – Adriana Gonçalves and Nuno Martins.
There will still be time to taste some “miminhos” of São Valentim, from the local sweets.
«The Jardim da Fonte Nova and Lavadouro is a very relevant space in the history of the municipality where the memories of the past still echo, in which the community meeting was a meaning. The washing plant with 20 tanks was built in 1945, representing an important element of the hydraulic heritage. Recently re-qualified, it provides ideal conditions for a refreshing break», says the municipality.
The initiative is promoted by the City Council and the Parish Council of São Brás de Alportel.
