The luminaires located on Avenida Lourenço da Barrosa (V6) and Avenida das Comunidade Lusíadas (V3), in Portimão, will be replaced by new ones, with LED technology. The change will allow savings of 30 euros on the municipality's energy bill.

According to the Municipality of Portimão, in total, "about 120 thousand euros will be invested that will allow the replacement of about 263 luminaires in the main artery of the city of Portimão and the avenue parallel to the sea commonly known as V3".

In addition to the energy bill savings, there will be a “significant improvement in the quality of public lighting”.

The municipality also emphasizes that this technology “will reduce maintenance costs and ensure a long service life of the luminaires, and, not least, reduce CO2 emissions by around 114,46 Tons/year, while also minimizing wasted waste. light".

The Chamber estimates that this project will start in March.
