Odemira, Grândola and Serpa will exhibit the wealth of their councils at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange, which runs from February 28th to March 4th. Odemira and Grândola will be represented at the stand of the Regional Tourism Authority of Alentejo and Ribatejo, in Hall 1, while Serpa will have its own space, in Hall 2.

The Chamber of Odemira will unveil “A municipality that reveals itself at every step”, “with a view to attracting more national and foreign tourists to the territory of Odemira”, the municipality said.

The Municipality's commitment to communication «focuses on the dissemination of the Discover Odemira App, where the municipality's map is the basis, highlighting points of interest and the enhancement of the municipality's interior, namely the Albufeira de Santa Clara».

In this app, tourists can access information about the territory, restaurants, accommodation, agenda, what to do, an interactive map and an image gallery.

Odemira will also promote itself “as an excellent destination for holidays in nature, adventure, sea and beach sports”.

Businessmen in the tourism sector from Odemira will also be invited to visit the fair on February 28th. Throughout the fair, promotional kits from the municipality will be offered to professional visitors and merchandising to the general public.

The Odemira stand is also part of the Kids Route Program, a program of activities for children (from 6 to 12 years old), promoted by the entities and companies participating in the BTL, in a logic of taking “Children along the paths of Portugal”.

For its part, the municipality of Grândola will make known to visitors and the world “the unique characteristics of our territory: the Atlantic front with 45 kilometers of accessible beaches, the natural and environmental preservation of habitats, the genuineness of rural spaces and small villages and outstanding historical and cultural heritage'.

In this edition, the Municipality of Grândola, «is committed to focusing on Nature Tourism, in the promotion of Pedestrian Routes, Birdwatching and sporting events», and «crafts, wines, regional products and gastronomy are also objects of promotion of the municipality».

As in previous years, the Grândola stand will feature local artisans working live and regional producers with wine tastings and tastings.

Serpa wall

Grândola will also take advantage of BTL to promote its major events, namely AR PURO – Fair of Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Activities, the 25th of April Celebrations, the Tabernas Route, the Ultra Marathon Atlantic Melides-Tróia , the August Fair and the Chocolate Fair.

Serpa will be present at the BTL focused on promoting «the beauty and diversity of its landscapes, its important built, historical and archaeological heritage, traditional cuisine and local products, as well as the tradition and living culture of its people».

Under the theme “In Serpa awakens…”, the Serpa Municipality stand «aimed at providing visitors with an experience in the territory of Serpa, in which all their senses are put to the test through the interactive Serpa Tour guide».

This application was developed for smartphones and «intends to be a support tool for the exploration and discovery of the territory of the municipality of Serpa».

In this app, available in Portuguese, English and Spanish, visitors are invited to tour the county's territory, “passing through a set of notable points representing the region's heritage diversity: “People”, “Landscape”, “Building” and “ Immaterial"".

The tool allows you to follow pre-suggested routes by the municipality or create your own routes according to your interests. For each notable point, in addition to multimedia information, users can, through the smartphone, «explore contents in augmented reality, through the recreation of events presented in their natural context», concludes the Câmara de Serpa.
