The group “Monda” will give a concert on the 25th of March, at the XII Feira do Porco Alentejano, in Ourique, at the end of the event.
«In a clear fusion between the tradition of Alentejo singing and the new sounds of world music, the “Monda” are all that distinguish, around the world, this flavor of Alentejo recognized as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO», says the Câmara de Ourique.
Spiced up by guitars, keyboards and bass, it becomes a new voice, «more open and diversified, which, to put it simply, is composed within the scope of World Music and crosses any border».
Thus, at the end of the fair, «much more than the celebration of Alentejo song», there will be «a genuine, luminous and emotional party that sings the roots of an entire country».
In a show that will cover themes such as “Lindo Ramo Verde Escuro”, “Mocho” “Diz a Laranja ao Limão” or “Fui-te Ver Ficas Lavando”, “Monda” will show a new interpretation of themes that are part of the songbook traditional Alentejo tradition and his first record work, which had the special collaboration of names such as Rui Veloso or Kátia Guerreiro.

The XII Porco Alentejano Fair, which takes place on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of March, is jointly organized by the Municipality of Ourique and the Association of Porco Alentejano Breeders and will be a space for debate and reflection on the rural world, tasting and gastronomic experiences and musical entertainment, leisure and fun.
