The photo exhibition “Elisabete Jacinto: Moments in competition” is open until Tuesday, February 13, at Forum Algarve, in Faro.

Elisabete Jacinto is a renowned Portuguese sportswoman and during her presence in the most diverse international off-road competitions, she accumulates photographs. Some of these, unpublished, will now be shared with the public.

This exhibition, consisting of a set of 28 photographs by photographer Jorge Cunha, has as its main objective to share the experiences of the team in the most recent competitions held, showing the daily life of everyone who ventures into this type of competition.

In this way, visitors are transported for the day-to-day of rallies and get to know the details behind the races which, on rare occasions, are passed on to the general public.

In this exhibition, Elisabete Jacinto manages to share the good and bad moments of competitions.

“One of the characteristics of these rallies is the fact that we are almost always alone in the desert, prepared for any and all unforeseen events, just by ourselves”, says Elisabete Jacinto.

“For that reason, each rally is unique. However, there are situations, emotions, ambitions that are common to everyone. There, the photographer is almost always present and these are the moments we can share… that's why the photos are so important to us», he adds.

This Tuesday, there will be an autograph session with Elisabete Jacinto, from 17:00 to 18:30. The team's MAN TGS competition truck will be on display in the Central Square of the Forum Algarve shopping centre.
