The Municipal Market of Portimão promotes, between the 6th and 10th of February, for the 10th consecutive year, the Festa da Laranja.

For five days, customers will be able to purchase this algarvian citrus fruit at the special price of 49 cents per kilo and try, between 10:00 and 12:00, the proposals presented by students of the Cooking and Restaurant and Drink courses at the Hotel and Tourism School of Portimão, which will hold several cooking demonstrations and tastings on the 6th, 7, 8th and 9th of February.

On the 10th, the market receives a special visit from the Executive Nuno Martins, one of the most renowned chefs in the region, who will come to the Market to share his secrets, making delicacies with “fresh” and delicious Algarve Orange.

Festa da Laranja is a co-organization of the Vegetable and Fruit Sector and Portimão City Council, in partnership with the Portimão School of Hotel and Tourism and the Executive Nuno Martins, and with the support of ACRAL – Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve Region, Alvor FM radio and the Professional School Gil Eanes de Portimão.
