O bullying will be the central theme of the debate “Education through the eyes of young people: what is within our reach?”, which will take place at the Municipal Auditorium of Lagoa, on the afternoon of February 20, between 14:00 and 17:00.
According to the Câmara de Lagoa, «the challenge is launched to children and young people in Lagoa: question their school, identify problems and solutions for building a happier school». This debate will be moderated by the adults of Portal Bulliyng.
Throughout this afternoon, there will also be a presentation of a forum-theater play by the Rio Arade Schools Group.
The public presentation of reference guides for children and young people from the 2nd and 3rd cycles to use in preventing the bullying in the schools of Lagoa «it is another component of this educational afternoon», adds the municipality.
In addition to young people, technicians, educators, parents and the entire educational community are also invited to participate.
«Learning and teaching “well-being” in the county's schools is one of the objectives of the partnership between the Municipality of Lagoa, the
Parent groups and associations in the municipality, with the Bullying Portal, for the development of prevention actions during the current school year. This work began in 2015 and is now in its third edition», explains Câmara de Lagoa.
““A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not just the absence of illnesses and infirmities” is the WHO definition for health. This is a value that is no longer solely the responsibility of the individual, but of the entire community. It is, therefore, a joint and continuous learning to which Lagoa, Cidade Educadora is committed», concludes the Lagoa municipality.
