The 2nd show “Silves Capital da Laranja” takes place on February 16, 17 and 18, with performances by Raquel Tavares (16), Amor Electro (17) and “Moçoilas” (18). 

The event will have its official opening at 10:30 am.

The initiative “will be present several dozen exhibitors linked to citrus, wines, agriculture, regional products, sweets, handicraft and gastronomy, as well as some associations and local and regional entities”, says the Chamber of Silves.

This is an exhibition that wants to promote the brand Silves Capital da Laranja, with another cycle of conferences, in which national and international experts will debate central themes for citrus production and producers.

Os cocktails they will also return, with the “Festival de Barmen Silves Capital da Laranja”. In addition to this, there will be the well-known and customary March of Namorados, a sporting activity that is part of the Algarve's walking and running calendar and that will be part of the event's programme.

This year's novelty is the presentation of a “Route of the Orange”, «which the municipality of Silvense intends to be an important and structural tourist product, resistant to the typical seasonality of tourist demand that the region is aware of, making known and contributing to the dynamization of a product of the municipality's identity and excellence».

The event, which took place for the first time in 2017, has a partnership with the Algarve Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries, University of Algarve, Algarve Tourism Region, Silves School Group and Silves-Sul School Group .
