Four restaurants have already opened by the chefs Leonel Pereira, Louis Anjos, Guy Doré and José Domingos at Mar Shopping Algarve, in Loulé. 

The “Algarve Chef Experience” has the restaurants Thai Brás, My Pastta, G's Bistro and Portuguese Lab, providing gastronomic experiences of haute cuisine at affordable prices.

«In Portugal there are already concepts developed by chefs in shopping centers, but in our benchmarking we did not find any haute cuisine restaurant. There is an interesting parallel here with the IKEA concept, as one of the challenges of these chefs it involves defining an affordable price and then developing author proposals, in a space with gastronomic offers for all tastes and budgets», explains Herman Gewert, general director of Mar Shopping Algarve.

Following the inspiration of each Chef, national and international dishes with a touch of algarvian ingredients are guaranteed.

The new restaurant concept at Mar Shopping Algarve is also a first for the chefs Leonel Pereira (Thai Brás), Louis Anjos (My Pastta), Guy Doré (G's Bistro) and José Domingos (Portuguese Lab) who accepted the challenge and added to their vast professional career, in Portugal and abroad, the experience of bringing the Algarve an innovative concept in a shopping center in the country.

With revealing names of the dishes that will be executed, the menus range from various options “à brás” and Asian food created by the Head Algarvian Leonel Pereira, “fresh pasta with original flavors” by the Head Louis Anjos, snacks and dishes inspired by “bistro” cuisine by Head Guy Doré and recipes from traditional Portuguese cuisine with a touch of Head Jose Domingos.

In the “Thai Brás”, by Leonel Pereira, resident of the São Gabriel restaurant with a Michelin star, in Almancil, visitors will be able to find combinations of Portuguese and Asian flavors, with several “à brás” options and Thai dishes.

On the menu, Algarve ingredients are promised in a combination of flavors with a touch of bittersweet, sweet or spicy, with the presence of sausages or tuna and very Portuguese ingredients such as the touch of onion, olive oil, garlic and bay leaves, flavors that the Head elects over more than 25 years of professional and academic experience and distinction with national and international awards.

In "My Pastta", the Head Louis Anjos will prepare a wide variety of fresh pasta served with classic sauces of Italian cuisine, making a difference with the creation of signature dishes based on Portuguese products and national recipes.

O Head Guy Doré, in turn, bet on recreating a French bistro named “G's Bistro”, presenting a concept inspired by classic French recipes with a touch of Head French, in the Algarve for over 30 years, during which time he was Head and owner of restaurants in Almancil and Albufeira.

In its new restaurant, at Mar Shopping Algarve, the Head will favor typical flavors of French cuisine such as Dijon mustard, cream, herbs from Provence or French cheeses combined with Algarve fruits and vegetables, wines and local craft beer, featuring dishes such as sirloin tartar, country chicken liver pate or a crispy shrimp, a true gastronomic experience to enjoy on every visit.

In the "Portuguese Lab", of the Head José Domingos, the experiences will combine the creativity of Head with the flavors and tradition of typical Portuguese cuisine, with cod as the “star”, presenting several options and daily suggestions for those who want to taste typical Portuguese recipes with a touch of Head José Domingos, responsible throughout his career for the creation and consolidation of the first kitchen academy in the Algarve.
