They have seen 15 of the films they jointly produced win awards at international tourism film festivals. Now, the Algarve's film producers New Light Pictures and Margem Films decided to merge into one.
The two companies have already worked together for a long time and jointly developed «a wide range of works», revealed the production company that was born from this merger, New Light Pictures, Lda.
This new entity «will dedicate itself to the audiovisual production of advertising, promotional, institutional films, documentaries, video clips and fiction projects».
«Our partnership has always worked very well and it no longer makes sense to present us with two companies, in fact this “marriage” is really the way forward», considered Patrício Faísca, production director of the new company.
Pedro Matos, director of photography at the new New Light Pictures, pointed out that co-production has always allowed the two production companies to «overcoming obstacles and guaranteeing a quality of excellence in the projects».
"Both companies have already loyal customers and both have good portfolios, which resulted from our combined work", according to director João Viegas, noting that this union is more effective than being in the market "as two competing brands".
The new company, which already has a new image, developed by LCPA, will soon debut in Faro the film “Presa”, which has the participation of Diogo Morgado and Rita Martins in the main roles.
