Today, the 16th of January, the requalification works of the section of the EN125 at the west entrance of the city of Olhão, between the traffic lights next to the “Barretão” barbecue grill and the McDonald's roundabout, began. The intervention will last for about two months and will require traffic restrictions in both directions.

Due to the contract for “Improvement of the Torrejão/Rotunda Poente section of Olhão do Lanço 2.1 d) EN125 – Faro/Olhão, from the Algarve Litoral Sub-concession”, there will be days when circulation will only be done in one of the lanes, but there may also be a cut in both lanes in one direction, with traffic diversion.

The works will take place over a length of about one kilometer, between kilometers 111+500 and 112+520. This is a project by Rotas do Algarve Litoral, the consortium responsible for the requalification of the EN125 between Lagos and Olhão, which will be carried out by Tecnovia.
