A tobacco machine, which had been stolen on 28 December from a commercial establishment in Ilha da Armona, was recovered this Thursday, 25 January, by the Maritime Police of Olhão, with the support of the Forensic Divers Group.
According to the Maritime Authority (AM), "the denunciation of the location of the submerged machine, next to Pier T of Ilha da Armona, was made by a popular person who was walking in the area."
After confirmation of the picket of the Maritime Police of Olhão, the Group of Forensic Divers of the Maritime Police was activated, which "performed the underwater inspection of signs and supported the removal of the machine from the water", adds the AM.
The machine will be subject to inspections to obtain evidence, and the finding and the steps taken have already been communicated to the Public Ministry.
