A rekindling of the fire that broke out on Saturday and early Sunday morning between Laranjal and Pinheiros Altos, near Ludo and Quinta do Lago, in Almancil, in the municipality of Loulé, was quickly dominated by firefighters, helped by air, this Monday morning.
The team that was still in place, under surveillance, immediately attacked the fire and was quickly reinforced with ground resources. A firefighting helicopter was also sent to the site.
Contacted by Sul Informação, the CDS of Faro confirmed that the flames rekindled in the same place where they plowed on Saturday, but that "the fire is already dominated".
