The Baja de Loulé runs on the 7th and 8th of April and, this year, there is a “major change”: the change of the competition center from Loulé to Almancil, “taking advantage of the excellent conditions that this town offers”.

The Algarve competition of the national off-road championships will have as its epicenter the Garden of Communities, where the park, podium, secretariat, verifications and the entire operational center of the event will function.

The service park and paddock will take place in the attached fairground, which, in addition to being paved and fenced in its entirety, also has a toilet, lighting and all the necessary security.

In terms of sports, the event was designed to simplify and minimize the difficulties that participants encounter in all terrain events.

In competitive terms, the Baja de Loulé starts on Saturday, April 7th, with a prologue of 5,2 kilometers, followed by the first selective sector (SS) with about 83,4 kilometers.

The following day Serra do Caldeirão will meet a second selective sector with 76,28 kilometers for motorcycles and Buggy Experience (SSV) and 81,6 kilometers for cars.

This last distance will be covered by motorcycles and quadricycles in its third SS, while cars will depart for a route with a distance of 142,15 kilometers.

The car service park, which the public can visit, will be located throughout the race in Almancil with the Buggy Experience, motorcycles and quads not to have assistance during the selective sectors.

What will be defined spaces for refueling before the departure of each of the SS. Between the second and third place SS there will be an assistance area in the paddock of the Cortelha motocross track.

The development of the race will be the usual with the bikes, quads, Buggy Experience and automobiles departing in this order for the prologue and 1st SS.

On Sunday, participants alternate passing through the selective sectors, with motorcycles, quads and Buggy Experience run through the 2nd and 3rd SS while the Autos run through the 3rd and 2nd SS.

Baja de Loulé is an organization of the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, under the aegis of the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting and the Portuguese Motorbike Federation.
