Moonspell present, in the Algarve's premiere, their new album “1755” on the 7th of December, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, in Loulé.
This is «an album sung in Portuguese (something unprecedented in the group's journey) about the great earthquake in Lisbon», says Câmara de Loulé.
The album is «a poetic, musical and philosophical reflection of the band on the event of November 1, 1755 and its repercussions in the civilized world. The new album will be played in full on this tower, and the line-up for these concerts also includes obscure themes from Moonspell's career», he adds.
«Musically, “1755” is a metal root record, with riffs vibrant, epic orchestrations and voices and lyrics that testify to the agony of that day», he adds.
The band was also concerned with recreating the period, existing a fusion with percussive and melodic elements that refer to the end of the century and to the atmosphere that lived in the Portuguese capital at the time.
«In total there will be ten themes that in the band's career find distant echoes in records like “Under the Moonspell” or “Alpha Noir” but which feature, above all, Moonspells like you've never heard them sing a Portugal and a Lisbon that isn't sunny , neither tourist nor luminous», says the Loulé local authority.
This will be a presentation «not to be missed, in this new phase of the band, singing in their language on a record in all titles, historic, unique and exciting».
«This concert is part of a programmatic line of the Cine-Teatro Louletano which aims, through the presentation, in each season, of some more alternative and less expected musical formats, to attract new audiences for its proposals».
The show lasts approximately 75 minutes and is aimed at people over 6 years old. Tickets can be purchased. here, cost 10 euros, going to 8 euros for people over 65 or under 30, and the Friend Card is applicable to this event.
