Loulé athletes Mafalda Brás and Vera Cordeiro, who recently won world titles in the area of gymnastics and sport fishing, respectively, were honored by the City Council of Loulé.
Mafalda Brás, gymnast of the Association of Parents and Friends of Gymnastics of Loulé, won on November 11th the bronze medal for teams at the World Championship of Trampoline Gymnastics, which took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. This title was collected on behalf of the national team.
Vera Cordeiro, athlete of Sport Clube Escanchinas de Almancil, Vera Cordeiro, was crowned world champion in sport fishing by teams, on November 10, at the World Championship for seniors and ladies, in Langebaan, South Africa.
