Ten needy families in São Brás de Alportel received hampers with hygiene and home products, raised in an initiative promoted by the local Socialist Youth (JS) structure and by the José Belchior Viegas High School Students Association.

The products were collected in a campaign that took place on the 13th to the 15th of December at Escola Secundária São Brasense, on the morning of December 16 at the municipal market and at night at the Cine-Teatro.

This was, according to JS do Algarve, an "unprecedented initiative", which allowed the collection of personal hygiene products, toilet paper, household hygiene products and laundry cleaning products, "essential everyday products that are often forgotten in solidarity campaigns».

This basket was delivered on the 19th, «complementing the delivery of the Consoada basket, with food and gifts for the children, an initiative carried out by the partnership coordinated by the City Council and Parish Council, with all the partners of the Local Platform for Food Aid ».
