An open rehearsal, with actors from Teatro do Sótão, a group from the Algarve Mental Health Association (ASMAL), takes place this Thursday, December 14, at 16 pm, at CAPa – Center for Performing Arts of the Algarve, in Faro.

The aim is “to share scenic experiences lived at the Artist Residency, which takes place between the 11th and 14th of December, at CAPa's facilities”, explains ASMAL.

Furthermore, «the open essay aims to bring together people interested in the development of artistic practices as a mechanism for psychosocial rehabilitation and community inclusion».

This includes, for example, artists, animators, social educators and health and social service technicians.

These actions are carried out under the Theater and Mental Health project, co-financed by the project financing program by the National Institute for Rehabilitation, with the objective of bringing together actors, directors and technicians from the Therapeutic Theater Group (Hospital Júlio de Matos), directed by João Silva and, from Teatro do Sótão (ASMAL), coordinated by Nídia Marta Gonçalves.
