The Algarve Regional Health Administration (ARS) hired a new General and Family Medicine doctor for the Personalized Health Care Unit (UCSP) in Aljezur and signed a contract with two retired doctors who are returning to the National Health Service (SNS) to strengthen the provision of health care in proximity to the population of the municipality of Alcoutim.
The doctor placed in Aljezur, hired on a mobility basis, was received, on December 21, by Paulo Morgado, chairman of the Board of Directors of ARS Algarve, to formalize the signing of an employment contract in public functions for an indefinite period with this Administration Regional Health.
With regard to the two doctors who decided to return, through the exceptional scheme for hiring retired doctors for the NHS, on December 22, they accepted a job and signed a contract with ARS Algarve to resume their practice. medicine.
Both will ensure the provision of healthcare for another three years at the Alcoutim Personalized Healthcare Unit.
“In the past month of October, 24 doctors of General and Family Medicine started working in the Health Center Groups of the Algarve”, says the ARS.
